What this is — and your data
Plain rules, backed by how the system is actually built. Provided by Stroescu Studio, a sole proprietorship in Ontario, Canada. Under counsel’s review; this line will say when that review is complete.
Who made this, and in what capacity
LeaderGYM is one author's work — the principles, the shelf, the shows, and the coach that runs on them — made and offered in a personal capacity. Nothing here is offered on behalf of, endorsed by, or connected to any employer or organisation, and nothing here draws on any organisation's confidential information. The author's own experiences are drawn from a career across several organisations and are told without names.
What is AI here
The coach is an AI. It reads the author's principles and your own record, and it can be wrong — the coach proposes, you commit, and every decision is yours. On the shows, the hosts are AI voices playing invented people; the author's voice is his own, cloned with his consent, reading words he wrote and approved. The conversations are scripted, not live; anything introduced as an example is invented, and is said to be.
What this is not
Leadership education and rehearsal — not professional advice of any kind. Not legal, HR, medical or psychological advice; not therapy; and never financial, tax, investment or securities advice — the coach will not give any, on your money, your company's, or anyone else's, and will say so if asked. If you are in acute distress, this is not the room: in Canada, call or text 9-8-8.
And it is built for adults: every seat here, the first one included, is for people 19 and over, and the door asks you to confirm it.
This is a beta
Pre-release. A public beta capped at fifty people, free for three months from your first session; the price after that is shown at the door, and nothing is charged without a separate, explicit yes. It will change without notice, it may be paused or reset, and your feedback is used to improve it. It may never become a commercial product, and nothing here promises continued access if it does. The terms of the beta are here.
If it ends, you will hear it from us first, with at least fourteen days in which the export button below still works; after that your records are deleted, not kept. And you can leave any day you like — export, then delete, both below, no message required.
For anything about your account or your data, write to coach2lead@icloud.com. You will hear back by the next working day. Anything else — a thought, a miss, a request — the “Tell us” link at the top of every page reaches the same people.
Your data
Where your data lives
Your records — every session, every commitment, voice recordings and their transcripts — are stored in a Canadian database region. They are never stored with a third-party voice or analytics service. The one voice service in use holds the author's own cloned voice for the shows — nothing of yours ever reaches it.
How long it is kept
Your written records — sessions, commitments, the ledger — live as long as your account does. Delete the account and they go with it.
Voice is different, and shorter. A recording is transcribed and then held for thirty days; after that the audio is deleted and your words stay. Nothing you said is lost — the recording of you saying it is. That deletion runs nightly on a clock, not on request.
What crosses the border
When the coach reasons about your session, the text needed for that turn is sent to the AI model provider, whose processing regions are currently outside Canada (United States today). We send the minimum the turn needs — never your whole ledger, never your archive, never anyone else's anything — and every turn logs exactly what crossed, so the footprint is auditable. A Canadian processing region is a configuration change we expect to make when the provider offers one.
Who handles your data on our behalf, and for what: Anthropic (the AI model, for the turn’s text only; United States); Supabase (the database, in a Canadian region) and Vercel (the application, served from a Canadian region); Resend (the few emails the beta sends — your address and the message, nothing from your record); and, if you use voice, the transcription provider for the recording while it is transcribed. None of them is permitted to use your data for anything but the service named. Data held outside Canada may be reachable by the authorities of that country under its laws.
Shape, never secrets
Bring situations in shapes. LeaderGYM never invites — and you should never paste — confidential specifics, client data, or material non-public information.
Your ledger is yours
Consented, portable, deletable. Per-user isolation is enforced by the database itself (row-level security), not by policy. No employer, sponsor, or author ever sees your raw mirror — aggregate patterns render only across five or more users, as counts, never attached to a person. Deleting your account deletes your records. What it does not reach is counts that cannot be traced to you. If you ever turned sharing on, the shapes that already joined the library stay. And where you answered a question that said your answer would be counted with others, or took part in a programme your organisation provides, the counts stay as counts: what kind of session it was, whether a habit held, how useful you found it. Never a word you wrote. They travel under a random key that is destroyed with your account, so nothing points back. If you never shared and are in no programme, nothing of this kind is kept at all.
Portable and deletable are buttons, not undertakings — they are directly below.
Take it with you, or take it away
Everything we hold about you, in one file — every session, every commitment, every record, no summary and no cap. Or remove all of it, permanently, right now.
There is no soft-delete and no grace period, because a ledger that can be un-deleted is not deletable. Export first if you want to keep it.
What sharing shapes does
There is a second, separate choice here, off unless you turn it on: letting the shapes of your work join the pattern library every coach in this room reads from. A shape is the form of a season, never its contents — which instrument came up, what kind of situation it met, how the read landed, and three taps of yours: whether you did what you committed to, which of “better”, “the same” or “worse” you tapped afterwards, and whether the session was useful. Never anything you wrote, never your name.
Sharing adds your kind of season to what the library holds — a union hall, a three-person shop, a first P&L, a whole company, a touchline. Over time, and only across five or more leaders, that is what lets a read meet a seat it has met before. Your own coaching does not change either way, and nothing here is owed: leaders before you lent shapes without being asked to.
What it never does: your coach reads the same library whether you share or not — off, nothing is withheld and your coach is whole; on, the library learns your terrain. Patterns render only across five or more leaders, as shapes, never attached to a person. Turn it off any day and nothing new joins — and in the same act the one link between you and what already joined is destroyed, not hidden. What joined stays as pattern: no name, no words, and from that moment no way back to you. While sharing is on, that link exists, because it is what lets us stop it and what makes “five or more leaders” a count rather than a hope.
Your choice on sharing shapes
Reading where this stands… You have not made this choice yet, and off is where it sits until you do.
What the people who build LeaderGYM can read
Not your conversations, and not your record. Four things reach them. A note you send with “Tell us”. The one line at the close of a session — “what should the coach do differently next time?” — which is copied to them without the conversation, and a request for a person to follow up, if you tick it. When something breaks — a page crashes, a request fails, the coach runs long — a note of what broke and on which page, never what you wrote; your own are in your export. And counts: how many people at a level named a situation as where LeaderGYM helped most, shown only once five have answered, never who; and each night’s totals of how much LeaderGYM was used and whether every part of it ran, never by whom.
What you say about how a session should be run, in the session itself, stays in your record for your own coach. How LeaderGYM works, and what each thing it asks you is for →
If your organisation provides LeaderGYM
Your record is yours, whoever pays. Your organisation never sees it, and neither does anyone who sponsors the programme. What comes back to them is five things about the whole group — whether it is being used, whether it held, what kinds of situation its leaders bring, where its own values are hardest to live, and what looks organisational — as counts, and nothing at all about a group smaller than its minimum size, which is never below five. Your organisation can tell your coach its values, its purpose and its setting. It cannot change how your coach works, and your coach reports nothing to it.
What is never done
Your engagement is never treated as an outcome. Your dispositions — keeping, parking, or closing a question — are never graded. No psychometric instrument is administered or credited; anything you import enters as a dated claim to be adjudicated, never as fact about you. Nothing you write becomes teaching content for anyone else without a separate, explicit, consented step.
